Fanatics, Inc.

Social Media Specialist

As a global leader in licensed sports merchandise, Fanatics is building the leading global digital sports platform and offers the largest collection of timeless and timely merchandise whether shopping online, on your phone, in flagship stores, in stadiums or on-site at the world's biggest sporting events. As a Social Media Specialist, my job is to engage with fans all over the world on over 900+ social channels across Instagram, Facebook, X (formally known as Twitter), and Reddit. I use my experience with brand voice to actively understand and assist fans across brands, leagues, and teams to create the best fan experience possible.

Sprinklr Social Media Software

During Orientation, I was trained to use Sprinklr, an all-inclusive social media management platform that allows engagement to be seamless in one platform. Aside from accessing Reddit, I use this platform daily to efficiently respond to over 300+ comments, concerns, and inquiries across all of our channels. I successfully completed this training with 100% accuracy!

Involvements

Pep Squad & Communication Council

During my first year with the company, I was always looking for new ways to get involved and find new growth opportunities in and outside of my team. As soon as the new year started, these two committees opened up applications for new members. I was ecstatic to apply!

Pep Squad

The Pep Squad is a team of 8 members who plan, organize, and execute events for the entire department to boost morale year-round. We aim to plan events that are exciting but also accessible to our remote team, night crew, and athletes with any disabilities. These events can range from small events like ice cream socials and virtual trivia to larger events like Summer Olympics and Fall Festivals!

My main role on this team is to aid in the development of large-scale and/or outdoor event activities, provide budgeting and logistic information to HR, and to make sure all activities run smoothly during the events!

Communication Council

The Communications Council is a team of 7 members who streamline communication and real-time information to the department via newsletter and written communication. My biggest role on this team was to re-design the newsletter and update it monthly with new and relevant information to send out to our entire department. With this re-design, I chose to modernize the layout, add a current events section, add a section for leadership to leave anything they see fit, and a section for Fan Mail!

Fanatics Fest NYC

I had the incredible opportunity to fly out to New York City with a few Fanatics social team members and attend Fanatics Fest NYC, the first-ever fully immersive sports festival of its kind as an NFL Social Media Content Creator. Over 70,000 sports fans and collectors came together at the Javits Center to take part in autographs & photo ops, check out each individual leagues’ interactive booths, and even get one-on-one time with their favorite athletes and celebrities!

NFL

Social Media Content Creator

Partnered with the National Football League (NFL) and VaynerMedia, I was able to capture real-time content to be uploaded to Fanatics socials to keep our fans at home included and updated on the in-event festivities. I was able to work with talent such as Michael Rubin, Tom Brady, Gronk, Adam Schefter, Rich Eisen, Roger Goodell, Lil Baby, Druski, Livvy Dunne, Alix Earle, and more to create memorable experiences for both fans and the talent themselves. The NFL content also did exceptionally well: one of our videos hit over 7M+ views and became one of the top performing videos throughout the entire event, while another became an ESPN headline!
